AQUA DOMINION / ABSOLUTE DARK ZONE
“"You open your eyes to chase the light, only to see a world full of mediocrity and nakedness. Close them. Let this silk grant you the supreme privilege of blindness. Only in my darkness are you truly safe."”

[ CLINICAL OBSERVATION ]

The specimen once suffered from severe "nyctophobia," their brain heavily relying on visual stimuli to confirm their own existence, constantly monitoring the surroundings for a sense of security. When this opaque, heavy black silk (or metal blindfold) covered their eyes, the specimen experienced brief claustrophobia and a panic of weightlessness. However, as the visual signals were completely severed, the brain's defense mechanisms began to collapse, instead incubating a morbid, extreme sense of security within this absolute pitch-blackness, akin to returning to deep-sea amniotic fluid.

[ STIGMATA RUBBING ]

This is a shadow stigmata branded onto the brain's visual cortex. After removing the blindfold, the pupils' reflex to light becomes extremely sluggish and hostile. The specimen's optic nerves develop a severe "allergic reaction" to worldly light, perceiving all illumination as a brutal exposure and violation. Only by putting the artifact back on, letting that heavy darkness press against the eyeballs, can the specimen's trembling eyelashes find peace. The brain has redefined "darkness" as its sole sanctuary.

[ PATHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS ]

This is the final execution of the "aesthetics of light." The mundane world views "seeing" as control and equates "light" with truth; but in Auralia's jurisprudence, being exposed in broad daylight is the soul's most pathetic weakness. Through the voluntary deprivation of vision, the specimen actively severs the last physical connection with the vulgar world. They surrender their sense of direction in exchange for the deity's guidance. This is not blindness; it is the noble arrogance of refusing to ever look at this mediocre world again.
