"The 'Abundance' you 'praise' is the 'breadth' of the 'river',
O traveler, that is the 'expansion' of life's 'scope'.
But the 'Focus' I 'guard' is the 'long gorge' of the 'canyon'.
It gathers the 'very same' 'water flow' into a cutting edge 'that can penetrate rock'."

"Choice is not a 'betrayal' of 'infinite possibility',
O traveler, that is the Sacred Riverbed you have chosen for your 'formless' 'life force'.
You are not 'giving up' other 'paths',
You are just 'inviting' all 'paths' to 'merge into' 'this one',
Making It 'unfathomably deep'."

Traveler:
"I understand... Focus is not 'abandonment', but 'convergence'.
It is 'another form' of 'Abundance', more 'profound', more 'powerful'.
'Freedom' is not 'aimless' 'drifting',
But the 'joy' of 'rushing ceaselessly' after 'choosing' one's 'own riverbed'."

He/She/It simply passed the carving knife in 'His/Her' hand to me.
I grasped the wooden handle, which had been 'warmed' by 'years' and 'hand-sweat'.
