The Coagulation of Pain
The host arrived seeking an anesthetic for their worldly disillusionment. They desired a mechanism to numb the friction of existence. We denied this request. Numbness is a betrayal of the abyss. Instead, we prescribed the aesthetic of perpetual, coagulating pain.
The artifact introduced is a deeply carbonized throne of ruins, rigid and coarse, retaining the toxic residue of a retreating fire. Crucially, it is scattered with bright red sparks that mimic uncoagulated blood drops. It completely rejects any narrative of healing or closure.
Anchored directly into the host's perimeter, the blunt metal pin executed absolute sovereignty over the flesh. The host did not find peace; they found a dreadful, electrifying lucidity. The unhealing scar became their strongest armor. They realized that to feel the perpetual sting is the only proof that one is not yet a corpse.
