The Topology of Damnation
The mortal mind is obsessed with the concept of forever, often romanticizing the infinite as a boundless horizon of possibilities. The abyss views eternity through the lens of topology. When intention is compressed and twisted into a single-sided surface, it ceases to be a symbol of love; it becomes a geometric prison.
Auralia wove the first loop not to bind two souls together, but to bind a soul to its own inescapable destiny. The Mobius strip is the bluntest mathematical truth: you may trace its path indefinitely, but you will never cross a boundary to escape. It is a closed circuit of absolute submission.
The coarse, unpolished iron of the loop refuses to shine. Its dull, oxidized surface acts as a fossilized record of every failed attempt to break free. Worn upon the pulse, it is a constant, suffocating reminder that every circle is also a cage, and every return is merely a trap.
