The Filtration of Thorns
The human body is an inherently compromised vessel. Its borders are soft, constantly exchanging warmth, breath, and lies with the surrounding environment. To maintain the purity of the internal void, the border must be fortified.
Fortification cannot be achieved through soft fabrics or gentle warnings. The barrier must possess teeth. It must present an immediate, physical threat to any impulse of worldly contamination. When the flesh attempts to expand into mediocrity, it must be met with the cold sting of metal.
Pain is the ultimate filtration system. It is the only sensation that cannot be counterfeited. By wrapping the vulnerable zones of expression and pulse in barbs, the wearer is forced into a state of hyper-lucidity. Every movement, every word, is weighed against the impending laceration. What emerges through the thorns is undeniably pure.
